The Niche Social Media War is Beginning

I don't mean the battle between MySpace and Facebook. Front lines are being drawn on the social media front across the web. Advanced CMS technologies are allowing a rapidly increasing group of people to build dynamic, membership based web sites. People can get on and make a robust profile, add friends, and more.

Social media sites are quickly becoming a commodity one of the biggest factors that will seperate niche social media booms from busts is the collection of data. Anyone can quickly throw up a Drupal site and install bio module, but data is not always as easy to collect.
